The Mt Isa meeting rolls on with the Trevor Morris Builders Plate for Class 1 gallopers over 1200m, run on a good track under fine conditions. Looking at the win market order, Lilii Borea opens as the shortest-priced runner, followed closely by Cliodhna Maeve and Makeminemilo, with Up To Us, Outcast Soldier, and Babe Roth rounding out the remaining runners in the betting order. Fortune favours the bold here, and the value sits with finding the chinks in the armour of the market elect in what shapes as a tricky tactical affair over the short trip at 2:10 pm AEDT.

Delving into the form of the market principals, Lilii Borea jumps from barrier 5 for trainer Tanya Parry and jockey Amie Meissner. This runner was prominent to the 400m before throwing the towel in quickly at Cloncurry over this trip, but is capable of leading or taking a sit and can rebound in this class. Stablemate Cliodhna Maeve draws barrier 2 for Caine Stuart, coming off a plain run when finishing down the track as an eight-dollar chance in a Plate at Winton, though the campaign data shows a runner that could give some cheek at odds if things go right.
